How does childhoods clothing fit?

How do you recommend washing childhoods?
To take the best care of your new childhoods pieces, wash inside out on cold in a delicate cycle. Lay flat to dry or tumble dry low. Phosphate free detergent is best to retain quality.
I purchased two different styles in the same size. Why does there seem to be a size variation between the two?
We use small batch manufacturers which means that all our items are cut and sewn by hand. Slight variations within a size range may occur. This is because of different fabric content and the handmade nature of our clothing. If you aren’t loving the fit of an item please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org!
When can I expect my order?
Domestic shipping (USA):
All orders will be processed and shipped in 2-4 business days via USPS.
This time-frame can be extended up to 1 week during peak shopping times such as new product launches, sales, and holidays.
Once the order is shipped, you will receive an email with tracking information, from which you can find your estimated delivery date. Please allow 24 hours for tracking to begin to update.
All purchases will be processed and shipped within 2-4 days of ordering via USPS First Class International Mail. Customers assume all costs associated with declaration value in accordance with their countries duties and tariff costs. Once the order is shipped, you will receive an email with tracking information, from which you can find your estimated delivery date. Please allow 24 hours for tracking to begin to update. Please allow up to 3-4 weeks from ship date for delivery. Delays may occur due to customs or otherwise.
*Childhoods Clothing cannot be held responsible for delays or lost packages. We offer Route shipping insurance so that if your package is lost or stolen you are able to get a refund. If you choose not to purchase the shipping insurance our ability to help with a replacement or refund is limited.
I placed two orders on the same day and got charged shipping for both of them. Can you refund my shipping fees and combine my orders?
Due to how our fulfillment center processes and ships orders we are unable to combine orders, nor are we able to refund shipping fees on separate orders.
My tracking shows that my package has been delivered but I can’t find it. What do I do?
If a package is marked as “delivered” by USPS it is your responsibility as the recipient to track it down with your local post office. Please be sure to check around your home/yard as well as check with your neighbors. You’d be surprised how many packages are left inside open garages, behind gates, or under patio furniture. The best luck with packages marked as ‘delivered’ is to speak with your local post office and the actual person that handles your mail. Typically, lost packages like this will show up within 2 weeks!
My tracking shows that my package was “undeliverable”. What should I do?
If a package is ‘returned to sender’ and is marked ‘undeliverable as addressed’ by USPS it can be due to multiple different reasons such as an incorrect address or the mailperson not having access to your residence. We would love to ship it back to you once the issue has been figured out and resolved. All ‘undeliverable’ packages can be re-shipped at a cost of $5 per package.
I’m not from the U.S., why do I have to pay to pick up my package?
When you order product from another country, you are required to pay customs to bring that item into your country. Customers assume all costs associated with declaration value in accordance with their countries duties and tariff costs.
Can you change my order before it has shipped?
We do our best to make any post-order changes but once an order is placed we cannot guarantee that will be able change it before it is processed and shipped! Please email us at email@example.com

Where is my order?
Thank you for ordering from Childhoods Clothing! You can check your order status through the confirmation email you received when you placed your order or by logging into your customer account (if applicable). It typically takes 2-4 business days for your order to be ready to ship. It then takes 3-5 days for your package to get to you, depending on where you live. You will receive a shipping confirmation email when your order is on its way! Don’t see the confirmation email? Check your spam to see if it’s there!
What is your return policy?
If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return unwashed/unworn items within 30 days of purchase. You can
to start a return!
Merchandise must be in unworn, unwashed condition with original tags attached.
All return shipping and handling costs are the responsibility of the customer. Please allow 5-7 days for our fulfillment center to process each return. You will receive a confirmation email once the return is processed and the refund is issued.
*All sale items are final sale. Sales include but are not limited to flash sales,discount codes, items purchased on our ‘final few’ tab, pop-up shops, and markets.
I have a problem with my item, what should I do?
Claims for damaged or incorrect items must be reported within 60 days of receiving your items. Please email a picture of the damaged or faulty items to firstname.lastname@example.org
and our customer service team will help you.
Due to us not being able to verify if the item washing instructions were followed; once an item has been washed it is considered FINAL SALE and is ineligible to return for a refund.
We do expect some variation of measurements (neck openings, chest width, leg lengths, etc) - or what are called tolerances. These tolerances allow for reasonable/normal differences in pieces due to human, machine and fabric variances in the cutting and sewing process! Standard variance is up to 1" in length and .5" in width from piece to piece.
Please note that as with any retailer, there may be variance in production on dye lots as well as very minor improvements in fits and finishes from season to season.
What is your exchange policy?
We don't currently offer exchanges. If you want to exchange an item due to sizing, please return your item and purchase the item in a different size via our website.You can start a return HERE
